The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale went live today for cardholders, and it did not disappoint. I polled you on Instagram, and it seems that most of you know all about this sale. For those who are unfamiliar; this is a huge event that Nordstrom holds annually where new items for the upcoming season are offered at a substantial discount (sometimes up to 40% off!) There is a lot of hype about this particular sale because items sell out very quickly, and prices go back up in August. This is the perfect time to stock up on closet basics, and investment style pieces you may need for fall. Navigating through the sale can be overwhelming, so I’ve combed through thousands of items and hand-selected a few of my favorites (so far!) I also wanted to share a few tips and tidbits of general information:
-Important Dates-
- Early access (July 12th- July 18th) is only available to Nordstrom cardholders. This allows you to see the first of the selection and grab your sizes before the sale opens to the public. If you’d like to apply for a Nordstrom card, you can do so here.
- Everyone will be able to shop the sale once it goes live to the public which is on July 19th.
- Prices will go back up on August 6th.
-Helpful Tips-
As I mentioned earlier, shopping the sale can be a daunting task. I recommend going through your closet, and taking inventory of what you actually need. Going into this without a plan is not only costly but may also hinder you from making smart buys and taking advantage of this opportunity to purchase quality pieces you actually need. It’s also a great time to save on a big designer purchase if you’d had your eye on something specific, like a handbag or coat- you can save big by purchasing these items during the sale.
One of the best perks about Nordstrom is their option to order online and pick up in-store. In my experience, you can get a better grasp of what’s offered in the sale from the website, rather than in-store. Not only is the selection significantly larger, but it can be hard to find certain items depending on what department your local Nordstrom has them in. There is also an option to order online, and pick up in store which is so convenient! Additionally, Nordstrom has the best return policy in the business, so if your items don’t work out- returning them is no problem.
