Spring has Sprung….or, it’s trying to at least. It’s a bit chillier than I remember the month of April ever being in San Diego, but with warmer temperatures and outdoor activities on the horizon I have Spring fever indeed! This time of year calls for florals, pastels and girly silhouettes. Today I’m sharing a round-up of some great dresses to fulfill your spring dreams and a review of this blossomy pleated midi skirt.
If you’re in search of a piece of clothing that will make you feel like a million bucks, look no further than a good fit & flare skirt. It’s just the perfect amount of elegance and sass, and always what I reach for when I want to make a statement. This skirt from chicwish is perfect for just that. I love that Chicwish offers extended sizing, which includes the XS, that I’m wearing here. Normally as a petite woman, I steer clear of midi lengths because I try to wear pieces that accentuate my small stature, rather than drown it. However, because this fits so perfectly on the waist, and isn’t layered with extra material, I do find that it’s more flattering than traditional midi-lengths.
I styled this with nude pumps, but I’ve also worn it with nude sandals like these, and both work well. Wearing a slim heeled nude shoe helps to elongate the legs which is important with a midi-length. It also prevents the look of extra bulk that might occur with wedges or a chunky heel. The cami is from Express, and is the most versatile option I’ve found to dress up or down.
